- Site-specific studies for new police facilities
- Powys is a large rural county where distances and areas of policing are significant, the road network is comparatively slow and the population widely dispersed. As such there is an overwhelming need to ensure cost and time effective policing of this county
- Boughton Butler were approached by Dfyed-Powys Police Estates Department to undertake a review and analysis of existing custody arrangements in order to justify replacement of facilities. BB’s experience lies in briefing development, objective assessment of estates and production of option studies. The feasibility studies determined suitable locations for new facilities on existing sites and produced recommendations for new locations and size of facilities.
- Proposals were put forward for joint provisions for the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) and the Divisional Support Unit (DSU), and for maximising capital receipts through release of police land for sale.
