- New Green Belt School for Chaddesley Corbett
- At the November Wyre Forest Planning meeting, the Committee unanimously voted in favour of Outline Planning Consent for a new 210-place sustainable primary school in the Green Belt. The school is partly buried into the hillside to mitigate its visual impact and incorporates the latest sustainable technology including biomass CHP, ground source heat pumps, green roofs, grey water systems, reed beds and sustainable materials
- Work well advanced at Wells House, Malvern
- Construction is well under way converting the former Wells House School into apartments. Wells House was built in the 18th Century as one of the finest hotels to accommodate visitors to Malvern for the Water Cure. Some time after 1860 the hotel became a boarding school

- As part of our annual contribution to the RIBA’s Architecture Week we ran free consultations for Worcestershire homeowners to raise money for Shelter. During the nine years the scheme has been running, over £500,000 has been raised

- Connect Worcester
- Friday 30th November sees the formal opening of a new resource for people with physical difficulties at St Helen’s School House, Fish Street. Boughton Butler have converted the Victorian school house into a fully accessible resource centre for Worcestershire County Council. The contractor was V A Williams Building Contractors of Worcester

- Lichfield Basin, Stourport-on-Severn
- Following an extensive clean-up and repair programme of the contaminated site, Barratt West Midlands have commenced building work. Homes will be available for purchase off-plan from October. The redevelopment proposals have been welcomed across the town and there are even plans to re-open moorings on the canal to give a boost to tourism and business
- Contemporary House within Knockalla Fort
- Donegal County Council issued planning consent for a new house and the conservation of Knockalla Fort in April 2007. The fort is a stone-built Napoleonic era Martello Tower built in 1797. Within this historic fabric Boughton Butler are inserting a modern glass house sitting on the cliff top with fabulous views overlooking Lough Swilly
- Construction starts at King’s Hawford
- Tim Smith Builders of Bewdley have started construction on site for a new reception and office extension to the school. The new extension will provide a much-needed ‘front door’ to the school
- Yorkshire Bank Golf Day
- Ian Butler joined a team from Faithful and Gould Quantity Surveyors in Birmingham at Blackwell Golf Club, Bromsgrove in support of the British Heart Foundation
- John Tainton Memorial Golf Day
- A team from Boughton Butler participated in a fine day’s golf at Upper Sapey Golf Club, Herefordshire. John’s great passion was business, particularly the steel business. Following his retirement he turned his business skills to establishing a successful commercial property business in the Worcester area. John’s family have set up a fund in his memory in the hope that in the future treatments can be developed to cure tumours
