- Development of 235 apartments on former industrial site
by the River Thames
- Over 14% of all new housing in Bexley, since the late 1980s, has been built in Erith, largely on former industrial sites. This has included a significant amount of private housing such as this Chandlers Wharf scheme which is achieving much higher values than have previously been achieved in this part of London. The riverside has been opened up, Erith pier restored, and an attractive promenade created.
- Planning consent was obtained by Boughton Butler in 1999, which undertook all the town planning and site strategy commission. Chandlers Wharf is an inspired collection of two bedroom apartments, presenting an excellent blend of location and modern lifestyle in an historic setting by the Thames. Boughton Butler also undertook a complete construction package and site liaison.
