- An exemplar primary school in the Green Belt of north Worcestershire
- Under the Wyre Forest Review the existing Victorian school needs to be expanded to enable
a district move from a three tier to two tier education system. The existing school site is not large
enough to accommodate this expansion and so a new site, close to the village, has been identified
after extensive research and consultation.
- The new exemplar school is to be located in the Green Belt as there are no free sites within
the village settlement boundary. The school will be a of a high ecologically and educational standard,
using renewable CHP energy systems and partly buried within the slope of the hill.
- Boughton Butler undertook extensive public consultation and exhibitions in identifying the site, content and solution.
